Swiss Alpine Macaroni

Swiss Alpine Macaroni

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300g (10 ounces) potatoes
  • 2 red apples
  • 2 onions
  • Parsley
  • 140g (5 ounces) bacon
  • 60g (2 ounces) grated cheese
  • 200ml (2(/3 cup) heavy cream
  • 300g (10 ounces) macaroni
  • 2 vegetable bouillon cubes
  • 600ml water
  • Salt, ground pepper


Peel the potatoes and chop into 1/2-inch cubes.
Peel and finely slice the onions.
Wash the apples and chop into small cubes.
Slice the bacon into small strips.
Place all the chopped ingredients (potatoes, onions, apples, bacon) along with the water, bouillon cubes, heavy cream and pasta into a large pot and bring to a boil.
Cook uncovered for about 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring from time to time, until the pasta is al dente.
Add the grated cheese and stir. Season and serve.
